Warranty
Gerald Auto Spare hereby warrants that any NEW ENGINE, PETROL or DIESEL purchased from geautospare.co.za imported engine dealer in South Africa, will be free from defects in material and workmanship for THREE YEARS from date of purchase, subject to the stated limitations, and the Pre-owned (Second hand Engine) covers a 6-month Warranty.
DURING THE PERIOD OF WARRANTY
Gerald Auto Spare will, free of charge Refund or replace any Engine, Gearbox or part defected.
GENERAL EXCLUSIONS from this warranty shall include any failures caused by:
- Abnormal strain, neglect, or abuse, including lack of proper maintenance.
- Accident or collision damage.
- Installation of parts or accessories that are not original equipment.
- Fading, rust, or deterioration due to exposure.
- Acts of God, i.e., lightning, hail damage, flooding, fire, etc.
WARRANTY COVERAGE:
This warranty shall cover the entire Engine or Gearbox except for the Specific Exclusions below.
SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS: Specific exclusions from this warranty shall include the following:
- Any parts replaced due to normal wear or routine maintenance.
- Any charges incurred in transporting the engine or gearbox to and from Gerald Auto Spare for service or in performing field service are also excluded from this warranty.
THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY under this warranty shall be to:
- Operate and maintain the engine or gearbox as specified in the appropriate Owner’s/Operator’s Manual;
- Give notice to Gerald Auto Spare of any and all apparent defects within ten (30) days after discovery, and make the engine or gearbox available at that time for inspection and repairs or replacement by the Gerald Auto Spare authorized representative.
